Where our thinking
comes from

MNTQ takes its name from mantiq (منطق) — the Arabic word for logic, reason, and structured thought. It is the name scholars from al-Fārābī to Ibn Sīnā gave to the discipline of logic itself, and it carries that meaning still.

We are a UK-based consultancy with a global team and a partner network across Europe and the Middle East — researchers and engineers who have delivered AI across Fortune 500s, startups, and EU-funded programmes.

We believe intelligence — artificial or human — is most powerful when it is purposeful, transparent, and well-reasoned.

Most AI projects never reach production

The barrier is rarely the technology. It is turning AI into something that survives contact with budgets, governance and the real world.

How we change the odds
  • Outcome-first, not technology-first

We never propose AI for its own sake. Every recommendation is anchored to a measurable business outcome — and when AI isn’t the right answer, we say so and point you to a better one.

  • We know what is production-ready

Our team has shipped AI into production — from automotive perception to hospital deployments — and published in leading research venues. That combination lets us tell what genuinely works today from what's still a research problem.

  • Senior-led, end to end

No bait-and-switch. The people who scope your engagement are the people who deliver it — and that accountability shows in the work.

  • Auditable by design

Security, ethics and governance are built in from day one, aligned with GDPR, the EU AI Act and ISO/IEC 42001 — so what you deploy can be explained, audited and defended.

What to expect

Straight answers to what people usually ask before a first conversation.

What does an engagement actually look like?

Five stages, scaled to your situation: Discovery & Alignment (goals, constraints, stakeholders), Maturity & Opportunity (gaps, risks, and the highest-ROI openings), Proof of Value (a rapid pilot that validates impact before you commit), Scale & Operationalise (enterprise-grade deployment with MLOps and observability), and Enable & Transition (training and knowledge transfer so your team owns it). You can stop at any stage — each delivers something useful on its own.

How do we start?

With a focused diagnostic conversation — no jargon, no obligation. We will tell you honestly whether AI is the right answer, and when it is not, we say so and point you to a better path through our partner network.

How long does it take?

We scope timelines at the diagnostic, not in a brochure — every organisation starts from a different place. As a shape: discovery and opportunity mapping are short, focused phases; a proof-of-value pilot is deliberately rapid, built to show measurable impact before you commit to scale; and scaling itself depends mostly on your infrastructure and governance requirements, which is exactly what the earlier phases de-risk.

How does pricing work?

Stage by stage, agreed upfront. Before any phase begins you know what it costs, what it produces, and what the decision point at the end of it looks like — no open-ended retainers, no surprise scope. The initial diagnostic is a focused, low-commitment starting point.

Who will we actually work with?

The people on this page. Every engagement is led by a founding principal consultant from day one — the person who designs your solution stays through delivery.

Do we need to be "AI-ready" first?

No. Assessing readiness is the first stage. Some of our most valuable work is telling organisations what to fix in their data and processes before spending anything on AI.

Where does our data go, and who sees it?

Nowhere it shouldn't. We work under NDA before any substantive data changes hands, scope exactly what we need access to at each stage, and default to your environment and infrastructure rather than pulling data into ours. For regulated clients, data handling is agreed upfront as part of the diagnostic — not worked out after the fact.

Do you work with organisations outside the UK?

Yes. We're UK-based with a global team and a partner network across Europe and the Middle East, and most of our engagements are run remotely regardless of geography. If local presence or specific regulatory familiarity matters for your market, we say so upfront — and bring it in through the partner network where it doesn't already sit with us.
